PROS Smart CPQ Configurator - Did You Know?

Did you know the Configurator of PROS Smart CPQ is based on a Constraint engine, instead of a Rules engine, as offered by many other vendors? 

Thanks to this architecture, the Configurator offers the following advantages:

• Easier maintenance: Constraints are bidirectional (A and B are incompatible), instead of unidirectional rules (if I select A, then I can’t select B).
• More flexibility in the selling process: The order in which options are selected does not matter.
• Ability to fast configure: Select a few options and ask the CPQ to select other required options with a given objective (budget, performance, environmental impact, …).
• Faster execution: In the case of a fast configuration, the constraint engine can test millions of valid combinations in a few seconds.
• Scalability: The configurator can scale to support simple to very complex configurat.
