Lufthansa Group's Partnership with PROS in their Journey Towards Airline Retailing

Jost Daft presented the Journey that the Lufthansa Group has embarked on. Great presentation and valuable insight for any Airline looking into this Journey.

Knowing very well that this Journey is a long journey and not risk free, Lufthansa has embarked on blazing the path for next generation Retail platform in partnership with PROS and other Collaborators.

They have already implemented Continuous Pricing in partnership with PROS and more than 50% of their volume is now handled by this.

They have converted their Monolithic application to a Modular application - which is what every airline prefers to move towards.

The PSS Inventory System that has so much logic is expected to be moved to Stock Keeper (a simple keeper of the stock) along with Product Catalog.

They are embarking in Partnership in many areas like Car Rental, Tour Operators, Rail, Hotels etc. to give the Customer the full experience and in return be able to gather useful data.

The Change management process internally is a challenge but accepted by the teams for taking a leap.
