Dynamic Pricing in the Airline Industry

The phrase "dynamic pricing" continues to be a hot topic in the airline industry.  However, the definition of the phrase seems to vary.  I wrote this blog to clarify what the PROS stance on the phrase is.  Regardless of the exact way it is defined, the common theme is that the static nature of fare classes doesn't allow for the level of "dynamic" the industry desires.  So right now it is all about taking steps in your RM, Pricing, and distribution systems that enables you to be more dynamic.
